On Saturday May 4th, 2013 LVSF partnered with the Jump for Joy Foundation for Tackling Obesity. Kids learned about fitness and nutrition in a fun filled way. Jump for Joy brought out some great ambassadors to teach football to kids.

Special Guests Included:
Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens
UNLV Football Players
B. Taylor (#1 Billboard Charting Artist, Navy Veteran & Face of Music for the United States Military)
Ricardo Laguna (Pro BMX)
and many more...

Not only did we have a table at the event where we handed out sports safety information, concussion awareness kits and Sports Blast but we also hosted a kids station. At this station we first talked to kids in various age groups from 6 to 17 years old about concussion's as it related to football. After the short discussion we went over the basic fundamentals of tackling as outlined by USA Football's Heads Up Tackling Campaign.

At the end of the event our Executive Director and Concussion Spokesperson (Sasha Pina) took to the stage and talked breifly about who we are, what we do and shared Sasha's story to everyone who attended the event.

It was a fun filled day!
