On Saturday April 20th, 2013 we were invited to attend the 2013 Pinwheels for Protection event held at Tivoli Village. The event was put on by the Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy and was held in conjunction with the larger Pinwheels for Prevention cause across the nation for Child Abuse Prevention month.

The event was attend by many members of the community, including those from our local government. Hundreds of people made their way over to the event from the Farmer's Market which was also being held at Tivoli Village. The event also showcased several performances from local organizations and schools from cross the valley. Also in attendance were local mascots: Pit Stop from the Las Vegas Motorspeedway, Cosmo from the Las Vegas 51's, Mojave Max from Mojave HS and Mcgruff the Crime Dog.

The NICRP was gracious enough to let us set-up a table at the event where we passed out information on Abuse & Neglect in Youth Sports, a dozen Concussion Awareness Kits from our partners the Derek Sheely Foundation and drinks from our sponsor Sports Blast.

We look forward to next year's event!
