cheyenneLLThe Cheyenne Little League Majors Division has moved closer to being the first team to represent Nevada in the Little League World Series. Cheyenne is representing Nevada this year after narrowly beating Washoe County 16-15 in the State Championship game. They are also the first team from North Las Vegas to win a state championship and make it to the Western Regional.

The Little League Western Regionals in San Bernardino, CA started last Friday and Cheyenne wasted no time showing they belonged there as they shut out Utah 3-0 in their first game on Saturday.

However, that victory was short lived as they would lose their next 2 games as they lost 13-5 against Arizona on Sunday and then on Tuesday they suffered another devastating loss to Northern California 10-6.

Facing elimination Cheyenne would get one last chance as they took on Southern California on Wednesday. Cheyenne wasn't about to just bow-out easy and cruised to a win as they blasted Southern California 16-7 on Wednesday.

That was enough to get them into Friday's Semi-Final as the 4th and final seed. They will face Northern California again and have a chance to avenge their loss to them on Tuesday.

Friday's game will be televised live on ESPN @6pm. Good Luck Cheyenne! We will keep you posted...
