LVSportz is proud to announce the 2011 Southern Nevada Youth Sports Awards are here! The awards were created as a way to recognize and honor local youth coaches & athletes who not only excel on the field but off the field as well. "I created the awards as way to further recognize those coaches and athletes for their tremendous dedication, commitment and time to their sport and the community" said Brian Bartolome, founder of LVSportz. "This is the perfect opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond what is normally expected of them."

Brian later stated that he hopes this will help other coaches and athletes to better not only themselves but those around them. He said, "When it comes to youth coaches, I hope that this will open some eyes and make them think about how they conduct themselves on and off the field. If they're not getting nominated, why? They (coaches) need to realize that it's not always about winning, it's also about teaching young athletes how to properly conduct themselves on and off the field. Most young athletes look to their coaches as mentor's and follow their lead, It should be Do as I Do not just Do as I Say."

Nominations will be taken from now through November 15th and is open to local coaches and athletes below the High School level. One coach, one male and one female athlete from each sport will be chosen via a select awards panel (TBA). One coach, male athlete & female athlete from the individual sport winners will then be chosen as an overall winner. Winners will be announced the first week of December.

In addition, during this time public voting will commence for local leagues to be chosen as League of the Year for each sport.

LVSportz is also looking for award sponsors as well as local business and community leaders to sit on the awards panel. If interested please contact Brian Bartolome at 702-561-1267 or via their website at http://lvsportz.com before November 1st, 2011.
