We provide the Low-Cost American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid Certification for your coaches and those within youth sports organization.
We also provide Free Hands-Only CPR, AED Awareness & Sports Safety Awareness Training for Youth Athletes 10 and up for interested youth sports organizations.
While Sports Physicals and Heart Screenings can help catch potential life-threatening issues before it's too late, not every problem can be detected and not every child gets the proper screening. Having an A.E.D. on hand can be the difference between life and death by saving valuable minutes between collapse and emergency response! We offer available A.E.D.'s to qualifying organizations.
Even if your child's sports organization doesn't require one, you need to get one... Some but not all life-threatening conditions can be found through a simple and thorough Pre-Participation Exam. Unfortunately not every one gets one or they aren't properly done. We offer free or low-cost Sports Physicals several times throughout the year.
We take it a step further and offer an additional free or low-cost heart screening using a combination ECG and 2D Limited Echocardiogram that is performed by certified techs and read by an on-hand pediatric cardiologist to lessen the risk that a serious condition is missed.
Our Baseline Concussion Screening Program is currently in development...
Establishing individual baseline concussion test results in youth athletes is critical to early detection and proper concussion management for a safe return to play and can aid in the prevention of fatal Second Impact Syndrome and long-term mental disabilties from repeated concussions. We are committed to this and we are working diligently to bring this to our youth sports community! Please Stay Tuned!
Assisting Young Injured Athletes on the road to a speedy recovery while reducing the financial strain on families from medical expenses occured from injuries sustained to their child while participating in sports....

A.E.D.’s are expensive and take a lot to maintain. On average an A.E.D. costs between $1,200 to $2,000 to buy and that does not include maintenance costs of replacing the battery or pads every few years at a cost in upwards of $250.
Our goal is to provide an affordable AED rental program so that teams and leagues may have at least one available no matter where they are. A.E.D.’s will be provided in a rugged and durable weather-proof hard case and include all necessary equipment to perform CPR and Defibrillation of both adults and children.
LVSF maintains the A.E.D.’s so the organization does not have to worry about its upkeep. LVSF may ask for donation from the organization or the organizations parents to help us maintain our inventory but it will never be mandatory.
As long as the organization has the unit, LVSF will perform monthly checks on-location to ensure each unit is in working and ready to use condition. LVSF will also do random checks at fields during games and/or practices to ensure the organization has the unit available and accessible on-location.
Certain Guidelines, Procedures and Terms & Condition's must be met/followed. Please Click Below to Learn More...
This Program is Currently In-Development
This program will be available to High School Athletic Programs throughout Southern Nevada and will take place at the participating school's campus or at a school or location central to all participating schools if doing a multi-school session...
Program will be taught by certified CPR/AED/First Aid Instructors, Athletic Trainers, Sports Medicine Doctors and/or other Medical Professionals as available.
Primary focus of the program will be to give high school athletes the tools and knowledge to perform basic life-saving skills and/or provide initial injury and emergency assesment and response that are sustained in a sports or public setting where an athletic trainer, doctor or other trained first responder is not immediately available.
The program will also teach the student-athlete on how to work in tandem with an athletic trainer or trained medical professional in such situations when needed.
Secondary focus of the program may also be to serve as an introduction to sports medicine and the career field of certified athletic trainer's.
The Setting: It's before or after a game or practice and only a few people remain; A few teammates/friends decide to get a little more practice in on there own and head to the neigborhood park.
The Situation: One of the kids collapses and there is no coach, parent or bystander around that has been trained in CPR or in what to do should this emergency happen...
While we would all like to think that this would never happen to someone close to us, it can and does happen. We all concentrate a lot on ensuring our coaches or someone in our organization is certified in CPR and AED which is great and is something that we here at the LVSportz Foundation are striving for but there are those times when that person may not be around.
Our goal is to ensure that no matter the setting, time or place that there is a better chance of someone being around that knows what to do and how to do it.
It has been proven that children ages 10 and older are have the knowledge and are very capable enough to perform life saving skills such as Hands-Only CPR.
TIME: 1 to 1 1/2 Hours
WHO: All Student-Athlete Ages 10 and Older; Parents; Youth Under 10 may participate for exposure but focus will be on the older children.
LOCATION: Your Practice Location wheter it is a park, sports field or indoor gym.
Hands-Only CPR: We cover emergency recognition; scene safety; Check & Call; Hands-Only CPR Skills. During this section we also talk about: Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and What Causes It; What a Pre-Participation Exam is and Why it is Important and Why Being Honest on the Forms and During the Exam is Crucial to Their Well-Being & Sports Participation.
AED Basics: During this segment we will cover what an AED is, what it looks like and how it works. Since it is a law that someone be certified in how to use one, we will not train them how in how to use the AED. This is something we are working on but there is a cost associated with the certification and it requires more time to conduct the actual training.
Sports Safety Awareness: At the direction of certified athletic trainers and sports medicine specialists, in this section we cover the different types of sports safety issues such as Concussions, Overuse Injuries, Heat Illness, MRSA and More. We talk to the kids (and parents if around) about what they are, recognizing the signs and symptoms and what to do if they feel they might be suffering from one of those issues.

Once we have an interested organization or group and depending on the size of that organization's interested staff and based on the available number of instructors for that day, we may open up the class for additional registrations for additional coaches who are also seeking certification. At the very least, we will have a minimum number of instructors for the interested organization.
