Coach Bio: Coach Example has extensive experience as both a player and a coach at youth, collegiate, and professional levels. As a player, Coach Example played NCAA Division 1 College soccer at both Florida International University and Radford University, both of which were nationally ranked and participants in the NCAA tournmanent. In 2000, he was selected as a NCAA Division I South-Atlantic Regional All-American by the Adidas NSCAA coaches ballot. Coach played professionally for the Greenville (SC) Lions and Sioux Falls (SD) Spitfire, and still plays for the Northern Virginia Royals in the USL D3 Development League. As a coach, Mr. Example served as Student Assistant Coach for the Radford University NCAA Division 1 team before joining the American Soccer Academy. He has served as a State Staff Coach for the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) ODP since 2006, and has served as head coach or trainer to more than a dozen youth travel clubs in Maryland and Virginia since 2003.
